Adobe has now released Beta 2 for Flex 2.0. Flex is the next generation platform for building Rich Internet Apps. It is targeted at the ColdFusion developer base and aims to get them developing RIAs for the Flash platform using a programatic approach. Along with the release, there is a design contest where six winners will receive a 42" Plasma TV and an Xbox 360.

Toronto New Media conference coming this October TORONTO  Web designers, developers and entrepreneurs will be gathering in Toronto this October for DesignFest 2005 (www.designfest.ca), a one-day conference for people interested in the technical, creative and business sides of Web design.
